Killer Contest Goodies

By Ludus

A little while ago, we ran two contests through our Gamers First newsletter. We had a lot of fun reading what our gamers had to say in response to both the survey and story contests, and it was cool to be able to give away graphics cards, backpacks and headphones thanks to ATI and Alienware. We have gamers around the world, and winners came from many countries: Argentina, Canada, Estonia, Lithuania, Peru, Romania, Turkey and more! The winners were kind enough to share some thoughts with us, and here is some of what they had to say:

To be honest I can't believe I won, seems like a hoax. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I'll believe it when I get it. - Sünne

Well, we sent it your way, so blame the mail if you don't get it!

Thank you guys, you all are the best! - Alexander

No! You are the best! Always good to disagree with players, right? :P

I'm happy, excited, and surprised that I won this prize. Keep up the good work on your games; they're great! - Peter

Thanks! Woot! Etc!

I want to thank K2 Network for all events and hope to see more events in future. - Raimundas

We love running events here, and we are glad to hear that you enjoy them.

I just checked GAMERS SCENE and it really rulez! :D I also saw my pic on the logo!:D:D that's so cool! - Ana

You are famous, Ana!! Now everyone look at the Gamer Scene logo and try to guess which one is Ana!

Just keep it up with the good job, every day u are getting better! - Dimand

That is because we have beer and pizza every Friday. Wait. I did NOT say that!

I thank you very much. I wish you all the success with your games, especially with Knight Online, and continue to satisfy your customers with prizes like that :) - Serdar

Mmmmmm. Satisfying prizes.

In addition to all those goodies from the winners, we want to share some of what the other entrants had to say, especially from the contest sections that asked about favorite things to do in game and favorite K2 Network game stories. This is awesome stuff to hear from our players, so check it out!

Favorite Activities In Game

Killing evryone... Having people say, "WTF was that?" when I killed them. Killing evryone even more - Stefan

Evryone better watch out for Stefan!

killing people, killing people and uhm...... oh, I know: KILLING PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mhuahahaha - Sven

Maybe Stefan and Sven should be friends?

I like to fight monsters and do quests because I like playing a game that develops a story line and a lot of quests as Knight Online does. - Ganga

I <3 Story!

I like to snipe, medic, or kill snipers from behind. I really get a sense of fulfillment to take out a sniper and free my pinned down buddies. - Alex

I like that, too! What I really like is to sneak up behind a sniper and punch the sniper to death while the sneaky chicken is busy looking through the scope. Revenge! Does that sound too violent? Naaah.

my 3 favorite things to do in the game are train lower level mages, upgrade items, go to the forgotten temple and make lots of money merchanting green treasure chests. - Joseph

I also <3 money. :P

Favorite K2 Network Game Story

When I was at Devil's Square, a party appeared. I asked them for a party and they laughed... they didn't want to party with me and said I was gonna die. Devil's Square started. They tried to steal my frags, but I just ignored them and changed spots. A few minutes later, their Energy Elf died but they kept hunting. When it finished, I was in 1st PLACE. XD. I made more EXP than the complete party. I came close to them and said, "MY CHAR IS WORTH MORE THAN YOUR PARTY." They left crying; now every time when they see me they always ask me for a party and I say, "neh u can die." - Wilmer

LOL. Hey, Wilmer, wanna party?

While I was a member of Tormentors, one clannie lost his mother. That was a very sad day, but the whole clan went into Delos, got inside the castle, and took a group picture. We sent that picture to our clannie, as a gesture of our sorrow. Maybe someone will find that stupid or childish, but we 'live' in this virtual world, and all we see of one another are our characters and our character names. So a picture of all of us was the best we could do ... Maybe someone will think that I'm writing a sad story, but it isn't like that. Death is a part of life, and things that happen after are more important. And for all readers that still can't figure it out, this story was about friendship. Thank You. - Predrag

Sorry to hear about your clannie's mother, but I think it is cool that you all showed support from within the game. Very nice. Thanks for sharing that story.

Back in Knight Online, I used to play alone and level up alone, until one day I met this nice player, and he started talking to me in broken English. We became friends, and he introduced me to Turkish culture where the players were very nice, and taught me some things I didn't know about Knight Online. Since then, my views on Turkey have changed and I want to visit Turkey someday. - Leonardo

That is really awesome to hear, Leonardo. One of the cool things about our games is that there are players from so many different cultures. I really hope a lot of people read your story and think about it.

One time i killed a noob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Nick

So it was you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who participated in those contests. If anyone else wants to share a favorite K2 Network Game story, please send it our way. Thanks!
