A Ban Too Far: Video Saves Guild Member’s Accounts!
Written by Xandamere
“K2 Network, help this guy, really!” – Mer, on the Global MU forums.
Camel00 had been a dedicated player of Global MU Online for four years. He had three accounts, and loved the game. He was fortunate enough to belong to a great guild named Gosu, which was filled with friendly players with whom he explored the lands of MU. Unfortunately for Camel, all of that changed in an instant. On March 24, 2007, Camel tried to log in to Global MU Online, only to find that his accounts had been banned. How could this have happened? Camel had never cheated or violated any in-game policies. What had he done to deserve being banned?
Camel’s guild rallied behind him, creating a video detailing the situation as well as a thread on the MU forums.
The story became a sensation in the Global MU community, with the forum thread quickly shooting to multiple pages and the video clocking in over 2,000 views. Camel was amazed at this heroic effort being made to redeem him. His guild leader, Samfisherx, had put this entire campaign together to bring the matter to K2 Network’s attention.

Camel was understandably frustrated by the situation, but he never gave up hope. Regarding the ordeal, Camel said, “from inside of my heart, I knew everything would turn out to be fine.” And shortly after the video and forum thread were created, GMO-Modi (one of the MU Game Masters) spotted it and began investigating. Within a short time, the trouble was sorted out and Camel’s accounts were reactivated.
We recently interviewed Camel about his experience. He now says he is, “really happy [to be back in] the game and really thankful for both Samfisherx for the video and GMO-Modi for recovering [his] accounts.” We at Gamer Scene are also happy to hear that everything was sorted out. And isn’t it amazing that a guild rallied behind their player like this and made such a great video? Very impressive, Gosu! Welcome back to Global MU Online, Camel. I hope that your future adventures are glorious, and you find happiness and fun in Global MU. :)
